Coffee, Conversation & Community

From Cameron's Coffee, Conversation & Community Gals!

Thank you to everyone who extended invitation, who responded to invitation in support of community within the Far West Mission Center.

Twenty-six friends gathered at Dino's Diner in Cameron on March 23rd. We visited for two hours and still didn't want to go home!

Cameron's own, Susan Holzfaster, shared a wonderful testimony about what community means to her. Thank you, Susan!

Thanks to Denise Youtsey (Cameron), everyone had a filled gift bag to take home and additional prizes were shared.

*Prizes awarded to: Sharon Hayden for traveling the farthest, Dawn Wagner for being the first to arrive and Barb Heath for having the most knowledge!  Cartha

Community . . . have the time of your life!

  "Why Quit There?"

A quote Catha Sherman challenges each of us as we consider our

2024 camping season.

From successfully inviting over ninety people to submit Reunion Memories/Testimonies, I decided, "Why quit there?"

Becky, a friend, who did not hesitate to share her Reunion Testimony, had not been to Reunion for decades.  Becky's first Reunion experience was a result of personal invitation. Jim and Naomi Taylor invited her to attend Reunion with their family of five. When I invited Becky to one day of Reunion 2023, she said she was afraid to get out of her car. As a child, her recollection of Camp Farwesta could be described as massive. I asked her to text me when she arrived; she did. We had the best day ever . . . in spite of me! The following day, Becky brought her adult daughter to spend a day at Reunion. As of lately, Becky said she would like to take her grandkids for a day or two of Reunion 2024.

Who can you extend a personal invitation to, to spend one day at Reunion 2024? A free tour of Camp Farwesta is part of the deal! Just text me.

With optimism, don't forget to invite early so our Cooks can be prepared!

Guilford Congregation

By: Sharon Hayden

Ellen Hayden was on the State Championship basketball team for the Platte Valley

co-op. She was also a candidate for Winter Court Warming. Ellen is a senior at South Nodaway, Barnard. Ladies from Guilford attended Cameron’s coffee& conversation. Dawn Wagner and Sharon Hayden were two of three who got prizes. Guilford had 25

at Sunday School & church Sunday. The children participated in Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. The also hunted for eggs inside because of the rain. And the rabbit ears…need I say more?

Abundant Life Center

Please join us!

We had so much fun at the Egg Hunt! Thank you to all that came out!! We had about 60 people from our congregation and community join us. A big thank you to all those who helped make this day possible! Without the fellowship support, we couldn’t have done it!

World Church News

On Tuesday, 5 March 2024, Community of Christ announced a historic investment in the church’s future. This was made possible through the sale of the Kirtland Temple, the Joseph Smith Historic Site in Nauvoo, nineteenth-century manuscripts and materials related to the development of church scriptures, including the Joseph Smith Translation manuscripts and Phinney bible, Joseph and Emma Smith portraits and letters, and various other manuscripts and artifacts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
