SKSF PROGRAM NEWS

Dreaming of this summer's garden or eager to learn how to garden indoors? Our Building Connections group is here to guide you! In this video, join JZ, Jess, Austin, and Bryan as they walk you through the essentials of what a plant needs to survive, to ensure your garden thrives!

OUR GROWING GARDENS

Spring is almost here, and gardening offers a therapeutic and inclusive experience for our clients with disabilities promoting physical, mental and emotional well-being. As we prepare our Adult Services and Zach’s Place gardens, we want to be sure accessible raised beds, adaptive tools and sensory friendly plants create an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone! We are seeking support and donations to help with tools and supplies needed for a successful gardening season. Please consider donating items from our Garden Wish List (ranging from $10-$500) and make a difference!

GARDEN WISH LIST

BUILDING CONNECTIONS FUNDRAISER

We are reaching out with great excitement and enthusiasm to share an inspiring garden project that is close to our hearts. Our adult clients at Building Connections are raising funds to build an awning in the garden to provide needed shade to create a work and relaxation space. Currently, they have a flimsy popup canopy that doesn’t do well in the wind or weather. Would you like to be a part of making this happen? The group is trying to raise $500 to purchase the awning (can be seen here on Amazon.com) A donation in any amount is appreciated! The Building Connections clients are also planning on hosting a fundraiser shortly – more info SOON!

A SPECIAL FAMILY OPENING THEIR HEARTS

FIND OUT MORE ABOUT SKSF FOSTER PROGRAM

Ronald and Stacy Woodson have been foster parents with SKSF since 2019. They have fostered over 15 children throughout the years with caring for as many as 6 children at a time. While some children had returned to their homes, others had come back into their care. They do an amazing job with the children keeping them busy and providing a loving, structured home that allows them to thrive. Mr. and Mrs. Woodson have also fostered two of their grandchildren which resulted in being able to adopt them both successfully. SKSF has gratitude for the incredible love and support that families like the Woodson family provide for children in their care. Their selflessness and dedication make a profound impact on the lives of these young ones, offering them stability, love, and hope for a brighter future. Foster parents are truly invaluable and make a positive difference in children’s lives every day.
