STATE OF THE CITY

Mayor John Suthers delivered his 8th and final State of the City address on September 8th. Here's a few of the key takeaways:

    ~ The state of our city is excellent and our future is bright!

    ~ Our municipal economy has risen to the 9th in the nation, up from 98th in 2015

    ~ GDP has increased by $10 billion since he took office in 2015 and is now $40 billion

    ~ Our city has seen 17% growth rate over the last decade

    ~ Springs is ranked the #1 Most Desirable Place to Live and #2 Best Place to Live

    ~ Tourism continues to be very strong and bright

    ~ COS Airport traffic has doubled over the last decade

ARTSPACE AFFORDABLE HOUSING IS COMING

The Downtown Development Authority and Downtown Ventures has partnered with ArtSpace, a Minneapolis developer of artist housing, to bring affordable housing for artists to Downtown. 315 E Costilla St. is an 8,252 SF two-story office building built in 1928. Olive Real Estate Group has managed the building since DDA purchased it in 2019. ArtSpace Affordable Housing will retain about 2,000 SF of the historic building and add 5 stories of new construction. The property will have 51 units of affordable housing and 7,500 SF of commercial space comprised of about 22 artist studios. The project will cost around $28 million and is expected to be completed in 2024. We are thrilled to see another new development take shape Downtown.

VOLUNTEER AT CREEK WEEK

Olive Real Estate is a proud Creek Sustainer sponsor of the Fountain Creek Watershed District. Creek Week is coming up September 24th through October 2nd. Volunteers from all over the city will come out to help clean up litter along areas that directly feed Fountain Creek. Charley Conrad represented Home Pride, LLC for the lease of 18,455 SF at 7367 S. Revere Parkway in Centennial, CO. Charley also represented Home Pride in the leasing of two other properties totaling almost 12,000 SF in Colorado Springs and Grand Junction. 

The Shops at Meridian Ranch is another property that Olive provides both management and brokerage services for. Phase 3 is now in development and almost 50% leased. Ridgeline Retail Center is an 18,000 SF  multi-tenant retail property located in the Colorado Springs North business district.  Tenants include Something New Boutique, Toastique, Sweetwater, and soon to be open, ReGenesis MD. 

5725 Erindale Drive

Olive is pleased to welcome a new 15,091 SF multi-tenant office property to our management portfolio. The building has 6 professional tenants and is the 12th medical office building in our portfolio. 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Palmer Park Supercenter is a Walmart anchored strip center managed and leased by Olive. The center was recently painted and received a fresh new look.
