Plan for closures on I-84 and McMillan/McDermott roads this month
State Highway 16 construction will require overnight closures on I-84 this month and an extended closure at the McMillan/McDermott intersection. Here's what's ahead.
McMillan and McDermott roads intersection CLOSED for five weeks (July 8-August 13)
Starting July 8, the intersection of McMillan and McDermott roads will be closed until mid-August. This closure will allow crews to reconstruct the intersection and widen McDermott Road north of McMillan Road.
What to expect:
Access to homes will remain open, but your route may change.
Motorists will be detoured to either Black Cat or Star roads.View the detour map.
Nighttime I-84 Closures (July 8-9)
Please plan ahead for I-84 to be closed on Monday (July 8) and Tuesday (July 9) night while crews work on the bridge for the future I-84/SH-16 interchange.
Monday, July 8:
All lanes of westbound I-84 will be closed between the Ten Mile (Exit 42) and Garrity (Exit 38) interchanges from 10 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Ongoing nighttime lane restrictions on eastbound and westbound I-84 will continue through July. At least two lanes will remain open between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
