They are seeded 3rd and will meet 6th seeded Bettendorf

in the 4A Quarterfinals.

There will be NO SCHOOL for all students (PK-12) on Friday, April 19. This was initially a half day of school, but will now be a day of no school. This will allow our staff to have professional development time with Lynn Lyons who is presenting a free community event the evening before.

February 18-19, 38 DECA students competed at the State Career and Development Conference (SCDC) in Des Moines. Students completed a 100-question test before the conference and then completed a role-play case study for a judge at SCDC. Topics range from Finance, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality, Tourism, Marketing, Business Law, and Ethics to Sports & Entertainment and Automotive. Students that place in the top 3 at state qualify for Internationals in Anaheim, CA, April 27-30.

Cedar Falls qualified 24 students and was recognized as a Thrive/Membership chapter for completing community and school outreach programs. In addition, presidents; Maddie Gallagher and Carter Pickar were also recognized for their leadership roles.
