Bright orange and yellow poppies are dancing in the wind and reflecting the sunshine all around Friday Harbor. The late Tony Surina was known for spreading seeds across the island in honor of his fellow World War II veterans. (Thanks to islander Janet Thomas for the insight!) Today they still greet us as we walk along the roadside.
