Art Display Fund

Thanks to everyone who participated in our parish’s art show and to everyone who purchased art. We hope you all enjoyed seeing the beautiful art for the past two months. The parish’s own collection will soon return to the walls until our next community art show.

As the art and music in our tradition is an important way in which we experience the glory of God, and that we have long been a center of these two expressions, we are embarking on a project to make Yates Hall better suited to the display of works of art. To that end we have begun a fund to underwrite the installation a museum quality hanging and lighting system for a revolving series of works.

If you would like to contribute to our gallery fund, please make your checks payable to St. George’s Church, with the Art Display Fund in the memo line, and either mail your check or place in the collection plate.

We are excited about this wonderful and enjoyable project. Thank you for your support!

Education Opportunities

Youth Group meets each Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

Youth Group Wednesday Nights include dinner, catechism, Mere Christianity, and games. Contact Sarah Stonestreet or Sue Ann Jennings for more information.

Tuesday Women's Bible Study is reading "The Golden Alphabet" by Charles Spurgeon. "A study of Psalm 119, from its great length, helps us to wonder at the immensity of Scripture. From its keeping to the same subject, it helps us to adore the unity of Scripture, for it is but one. Yet, from the many turns it gives to its one thought, it helps us to see the variety of Scripture. How manifold are the words and thoughts of God in his Word! Just in creation, the wonders of his skill are displayed in many ways"- Spurgeon

Please email Lisa Stein at if you would like more information.

Books are now available for $5.00 in the church office.
