PRAYER FOR THE SEARCH

FOR A NEW RECTOR

Heavenly Father, we come before you with hearts full of hope and trust, seeking your guidance and wisdom as we search for a shepherd for our flock. We know you have a plan for us and that you will lead us to the right person to lead and guide us.

Grant us discernment to recognize the qualities and virtues that are needed in a pastor who will serve your people with love, compassion, and dedication. Help us to be open to your will and to trust in your perfect timing.

Bless all those who are involved in the search process, grant them clarity of mind and purity of intention. May they be guided by your Holy Spirit in their decisions and choices.

We offer this prayer in faith, knowing that you are always with us and that you will provide for us according to your divine plan. May your will be done in all things.

In the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, and with the guidance and in the power of your Holy Spirit, we pray.

 +Amen

Prayers for Our Parish

- Edited from Prayer Book, page 392

Collect for the 5th Sunday after Pentecost: O Lord, make us have perpetual love and reverence for your holy Name, for you never fail to help and govern those whom you have set upon the sure foundation of your loving-kindness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

We pray for the special needs and concerns of St. Timothy’s congregation.

For our community, the nation, and the world;

For all people in their daily life and work;

For all who have died, that they may have a place in your eternal kingdom.

For all who are in danger, sorrow, or any kind of trouble;

For all victims of violence at home and abroad, and for all perpetrators of violence, that God may turn their hearts.

For all those who serve in our Armed Forces, stationed in the Middle East and

throughout the world, that God may protect them.

For the peace and unity of the Church of God;

We thank you, Lord, for all the blessings of this life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

If there is someone you would like to be included in our prayers,

please send us an email.

Dear Friends in Christ,

Our long time and faithful parishioner, Eloise Clampffer, passed away peacefully at her residence in Delaware. A viewing/time of visitation, followed by the Burial Service, will be held at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church on Saturday, June 29th. Viewing and Service times are not yet available.

“Rest Eternal grant unto her O Lord and let Light Perpetual shine

upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed,

through the mercy of God, rest in peace.”

4th of JULY Parade & Celebration

St. Timothy's will be the lead church for our local historic parade, and has chosen the theme for the 2024 parade - from Romans 8:28:

We know that all things work together for good, for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.

Meet at St. Timothy's at 8:30 am on the 4th, so we can walk to the parade together. The parade begins at 9:00 am, leaving Lyceum and Manayunk Avenues, parading the length of Lyceum Avenue. Return to St. Timothy's after the parade for our annual picnic. Please bring sides, salad and desserts to share, we'll be cooking hot dogs, hamburgers and beverage. And our Basement Brewers have brewed a special beer for the day.

Pray for our Community!

Consider joining St. Timothy's Prayer Box Group, and begin receiving emails with requests you can include in your daily prayer routine. Contact the parish office to be placed on the email list.
