Principal's Message:

Dear St. Peter Family,

Our first three days of school have been a joy! We were thrilled to welcome our students back and welcome our new students and parents into our school family. I absolutely must commend our students. They started this school year as if they never left. The students know the expectations we have at St. Peter School, and they are truly shining. I have been so impressed this week as I have been greeted by students and have observed them helping each other and our new families as they enter the school building. I have seen their patience in the cafeteria and at dismissal. I see the effort they are putting forth to follow cell phone rules and the uniform code. Our school Mass was simply awesome on Thursday, and it was wonderful to have our students together again. Our students are a direct reflection of the values and expectations you have at home for your children. Your support of the values and expectations we have at school make this school the very unique and exceptional place it is. And before I wrap it up, I have to shout out the simply superior faculty and staff we have in place this year. You would never guess walking through the halls that this is the first week of school. Learning has begun, no question! On behalf of the faculty, we are looking forward to a great school year, partnering with our families once again, to provide the best education we can. Wishing you a relaxing and fun weekend! I can't wait to see the kids on Monday!

St. Peter, Friend of Jesus, PRAY FOR US!

Thank you students and parents for your attention to our school uniform policy. The students are looking good and for the most part following policy. We could use your help on a few things:

  • Boys are not allowed to wear earrings to school.
  • Skorts are not part of our uniform. Girls in grades K-3 can wear a jumper, and girls in grades 4-8 can wear a navy skirt or a plaid skirt. These items are available only through Educational Apparel.
  • Joggers are not permitted.
  • Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Please make sure your child's shirt is tucked in before they leave each morning.
  • Spirit shirts may be worn every Friday with uniform bottoms. Soccer jerseys can be worn as well! We have more of this year's spirit shirt ordered and will let you know when they arrive. Spirit shirts are also to be tucked in on Fridays.
  • Ladies' shorts: please make sure shorts are not too tight or rolled up to make shorter.

Thank you for your support with our uniform policy!

Please review our morning drop-off pattern below. Parents need to head West on Chambersburg Road, turn right onto Celestine, turn right onto Alter, and follow Alter into the back driveway of St. Peter. Parents may not drop students off in front of the school, as that is reserved for bus traffic. Please note that busses are not looking for students and cars out front, so it is a safety concern for students to be dropped off out front. Once a car enters the back lot, please follow the traffic flow listed below. We had quite a jam this morning due to cars not following the plan. Thank you all for your patience and grace. Our new families just need a chance to learn our game plan!

Please review our afternoon pick-up pattern below. Parents and cars are not permitted in the front of school. Our busses line up in two rows, and cars parked in the front lot prohibit this process. Parents can enter the back lot and line up for dismissal beginning at 2:45PM when the gate opens. If you are in a hurry to get out, please park across the street and walk over to pick up your child. We have people out front to help navigate the crosswalk and traffic on Chambersburg Road. As always, please let us know if you have any questions!

The students are doing an outstanding job with our new cell phone policy. As a reminder, cell phones MUST be completely put inside bookbags before exiting the car or bus. Likewise, at the end of the school day, phones may not be out until students are on the busses or in their cars. Students are not permitted to carry phones in their hands. We had to remind only three students of the new rule! Beginning Monday and moving forward, any cell phone that is outside a bookbag will be turned into the office, and a parent will need to come in to reclaim. Please remind your students as they leave each morning!
