Upcoming Events & News

Rector Vacation: Fr. Jim will be out of the office from March 20th-26th. Fr. Gene Crawford will serve on Sunday, March 26th.


Screwtape Letters Discussion: This Sunday at 2:00 pm in the Parish Hall we will be discussing Chapters 19-25. The study is being guided by Nelson Barnett and Cathy McDonald. 


Lenten Luncheons: St. Paul’s, First United Methodist, First Presbyterian, Lyon College, and St. Mary’s Catholic Church are joining together to offer a Lenten Lunch series on the five Wednesdays in Lent. Before lunch we will participate in the Stations of the Cross liturgy followed by a brief mediation. We will begin at noon and will finish before 1:00 pm. Upcoming Lunches: will be held at First United Methodist Church on March 22nd, and at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on March 29th. 


Easter Gifts: Easter will be on April 9th this year. Memorial and thanksgiving gifts need to be received by April 3rd to be included in our Easter Bulletins.


Holy Week Schedule: Below is a list of our Holy Week worship service schedule.


+       Palm Sunday – 8:00 & 10:30 am

+       Tennebrae, Wednesday – 7:30 pm

+       Maundy Thursday – 7:30 pm

+       Good Friday – noon & 5:30 pm

+       Easter Vigil, Saturday – 8:00 pm

+       Easter Sunday - 8:00 & 10:30 am


At our Palm Sunday and Good Friday Services we will read the Passion Narrative in parts. Please contact the office by phone or email if you are available to read a part. Also, please let us know if you are available to serve at the Maundy Thursday, Good Friday or Easter Vigil services.


Camp Mitchell Events: The dates are set for 2023 Episcopal Men’s Retreat and ECW Summer Quest! Men, mark your calendars for March 31st through April 2nd. Ladies, mark your calendars for June 2nd through 4th. To register, go to campmitchell.org.


Surrounded by a Cloud of Witnesses II: This book of Meditations is a publication of the Arkansas Episcopal Church Women (ECW) and several members in our ECW were contributors. Copies are available for sale in the Narthex for $20.
