Dear St. Michael-St. Gabriel Families and Friends,
Next week, students in Grades 2 and 3 will complete their last NWEA assessments. Once complete, our teachers will spend some time comparing the students’ scores from the winter to measure their growth in reading and math. Later on April 16th, Cardinal Ritter High School will host a mini-field day for any student who met their reading and math growth goal on these exams. Students who met their goal in one area will be recognized at another assembly at school.
Throughout this next month, students in Grades 2-8 will also be taking ARK, which stands for Assessment of Religious Knowledge. This exam will ask students grade-level knowledge questions about the Catholic faith based on what they have learned in their religion classes. Exams for our second and third graders will take about 25-35 minutes, whereas the assessments for our junior high students will take closer to an hour or hour and a half.
On Wednesday, April 3rd, we will hold an 8th Grade parent meeting to discuss end-of-the-year activities. This meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. and be held in the school cafeteria.
Finally, as a reminder, there is no school on Monday, April 1st, as we celebrate Easter Monday. We wish all of you a very Happy Easter weekend!
God Bless,
Mrs. Ramos
