Worship

Please Welcome Pr. Tim Anderson

While Pr. Ellen is on vacation May 20-June 20, Pr. Tim Anderson will be preaching and presiding on Sundays and will be on call for any pastoral care needs. The church office will have his contact

information. The emergency number is 512-402

We are Disciples…

...as we live Jesus’ daily rhythms of study of scripture, prayer, rest, and community, as our own.

Please consider this scripture verse as you practice these rhythms in your life as a disciple of Jesus:

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you

1st Thessalonians 5:16-18

Stephen Ministry Invites You...

As a Stephen Minister, you will have the opportunity to provide compassionate care and a listening ear to individuals facing challenges within our congregation and community. Through specialized training, you will learn how to effectively support and extend the care offered by our pastors. Prayerfully consider joining the Stephen Minister Team,

Stephen Minister Testimonial: “I began my caring relationship during COVID times, so met with my care receiver over the phone instead of in-person. This could have been a negative, but actually has been a positive and allowed us to accommodate the schedules of two working women. All the training, especially the role-playing and continuing education on PRAYER have allowed us to have very meaningful, deep conversations that might have been more difficult in person.” Jennifer Anderson

Pentecost and Confirmation Pot Luck

Summer Faith Formation

Thank you to everyone who led or participated in Faith Formation this year! Our children's Faith Formation leaders are now resting and will return in the fall. The adult Crossways Bible Study now meets at 9 AM in room 230. On May 26th we will finish the book of Deuteronomy. We will study Joshua and Judges during the summer.

Casual adult fellowship will be held at 11 AM in the Parlor. Please join these summer opportunities!

We are planning opportunities for smaller gatherings in homes and elsewhere during the summer. Would you be willing to host a gathering? Get in touch with Anita Salmon, Karen Cross, or Susan Jensen.

Save these Dates

Blessing of the Backpacks and Meet the Teacher will be on August 18th. Community Day will take place on August 25, and Children's Faith Formation will restart at 9 AM that day. Faith Formation will return to 10 AM when we shift to two services on September 8th

Congratulations Confirmation Class 2024

St. Martin's Serves

St. Martin’s May Benevolence

Since its inception in 2016, the Move-In Ministry/Upbring has been generously supported by the people of St. Martin’s. Your generosity, whether through contributions of time, furniture, or financial resources, has been instrumental in empowering young adults transitioning out of the foster care system to establish homes of their own. While the primary focus remains on assisting young adults aging out of foster care, the spirit of giving at St. Martin’s has occasionally led our volunteers to support other move-in opportunities, embodying our commitment to service and community. Contact Susan Jensen or Bob Daemmrich (serves@saintmartins.org) for information about volunteering with this ministry. All designated monetary donations are given to the ministry to help with purchasing household items.

God does not need your good work, but your neighbor does.
