St. Luke's celebrated six baptisms during the months of July and August! We promise to surround these children with love, support, and care, and look forward to seeing them grow into faithful disciples of Jesus in the coming years.
Rya Lee Cotton-Santiago was baptized on July 21. It was also Rya’s first birthday! Rya’s mother Cyarra Santiago and other family members celebrated her baptism and birthday that day.
Brother and sister Nicholas Paul and Gwendolyn Kay MacEwen were both baptized on August 11. In attendance were their parents, Lisa Jo and Brian MacEwen, as well as many family members from out of town.
Brooklyn Rose Bottinelli was baptized on August 18. Brooklyn is the daughter of Alycia and Patrick Bottinelli, and the younger sister to Jemma and Dawson. It was a very special day for the family.
Sawyer Kay McNaull was baptized on August 18. Parents, Holly and Patrick McNaull, along with big sister Corinne, grandparents, and other family members celebrated in the joy of her baptism.
Easton Kenneth McLaughlin was baptized on August 18. Easton is the son of Morgan and Joel McLaughlin Jr. and the younger brother to Cooper. He is also the grandson of St. Luker, Connie Falbo. The family celebrated in the blessing of Easton’s baptism that Sunday.

St. Luker Marilyn Masi passed away on July 18 at the age of 80 surrounded by family and friends. Marilyn served as a Stephen Minister and loved to help others and share her faith. She had a gentle nature about her, and always enjoyed a good laugh. Her funeral service was held on July 31 at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Winter Garden. To read her full obituaryclick here. St. Luker Hank Henry passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on August 6. For many years he was a regular worshipper and usher of our 8:00 a.m. service and enjoyed attending Traditional worship. Hank loved being around people and was a long-time member of St. Luke’s Dinner for Eight group. He owned his own handyman business and provided service to many St. Lukers over the years. Hank did not wish to have a funeral service but was celebrated by beloved neighbors and friends at a block party in his neighborhood on August 24. Please keep his sister and his business partner Adam in your prayers at this time.
St. Luker Doris King passed away on August 16 at her home at the age of 94. Doris attended St. Luke's summer musical production of “The Sound of Music” the Saturday before her passing and was so excited to be there with her family. She loved the Grinch, Hallmark movies, visits from family and friends, and making people laugh. Doris’ funeral service took place on August 24 at Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park. Lucitia Gerber, mother of Mary Terry, passed away peacefully on August 18 at the age of 93. A lifelong worshipper, she loved attending Traditional worship at St. Luke’s with her daughter and son-in-law Bruce. Lucitia’s family plans to hold a private celebration of her life in October. Please lift up Mary and Bruce and their extended family in your prayers.
Happy 90th Birthday to Dave Walbridge!
Dave is a devoted long-time member of St. Luke's. He has been involved in many ways including leading Adult Sunday School, actively participating in many Senior group activities, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, and being an active Stephen Minister. He is a cherished spouse to Gail (wife of 68 years), and a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
We wish him a blessed 90th birthday.

Scenic volunteerConnie Lefebvre recently celebrated her 70th birthday with a surprise party on campus, organized by her daughter! You may have seen Connie with her welding equipment working on the welcome hall renovation. If you haven't seen her... look up! She may be welding cross beams! We are grateful to Connie for being a member of the team. Happy birthday, Connie!
