The Sound of Music - This Saturday!

On May 18 at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary, the hills will be alive with music…indeed! Make sure to mark your calendars for our youth version of “The Sound of Music” playing here at St. Giles.

This Sunday will be Pentecost Sunday as well as our monthly healing prayer service in both services. Let us come expectant of what only the Lord can do!

On Wednesday, June 5 our youth will be hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for their upcoming mission/ service trip to Cleveland, TN the following week. This is the first mission trip our youth has taken in a while so we are encouraging folks to come out and support them as they share about the trip and serve up a wonderful spaghetti dinner.

Tickets are $10 a piece and can be purchased from youth on Sunday mornings.

This spring, we will once again partner with "Bloom of the PRC" (please note the new name), in collecting our loose change (or checks) to fill a baby bottle in support of their mission to help women and babies! Bottles will be distributed on Mother's Day and returned two weeks later.

We also have a bin outside of the office for drop off donations of baby clothes, diapers, wipes, formula, etc.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email Yolande Long: yolande.a.long@gmail.com

Thank you for your participation and support!

Art Update: Children's Art Show

This week we are excited to feature the annual Children’s Art Show through the Make Studio in Common Grounds. This is an incredible opportunity that we have to serve our community by providing a beautiful space to showcase the art from local children at Imago Dei, local homeschool and preschool networks, and our own Children’s Garden Preschool. This means that there will be a many families and children moving through the church for the next couple of weeks that we have the opportunity to welcome and love in the name of Christ.

The show will go up beginning early next week and will run from Wednesday, May 15, to Friday, May 24.

Registration for Community VBS is now open! Rising Pre-K - Rising 6th graders are invited to join us from July 10th - 12th, 5:30-8:00 p.m. each evening for an amazing adventure in Hometown Nazareth! Join St. Giles, Christ Pres., and Eternity Churches as we gather at St. Giles each night and journey back in time to the place where Jesus grew up to discover more of what it means to follow him today! Dinner for the whole family will be served at 5:30 each evening. Questions? Contact Heather Agnello at (804) 282-9763. Visit www.stgiles.org.

Food Pantry Still Collecting Donations!

Dear church family,

Thank you for all the food that you have given to the food pantry. The coordinators of the food pantry have told me that the food we have donated has made a huge difference in the number of families they can serve. With high cost of food, they are having trouble meeting the needs of their families. I am asking that you continue to be so very generous with providing any nonperishable good. Please put donations in the bins outside of the front office. Thank you very much!
