If you’re still thinking about St. Francis High School for the upcoming year but your situation feels “complicated,” we’re here to say, let’s talk. We welcome these Admission conversations. They offer students the opportunity to begin writing their own story here at St. Francis High School, just as I have.
As the new Director of Admissions, I’m looking forward to welcoming you as warmly as the SFHS community has welcomed me. My name is Patrick Jacobsen, and I’ve met many of you recently during summer visits so far. I come to you from Fenwick High School in Oak Park where I was Director of Admissions (since June 2021) and school counselor (since July 2017). I previously served in admissions and was a baseball coach at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, where I also earned my bachelor’s degree in secondary education and master’s degree in educational leadership.
After you schedule your visit, don’t worry about a thing. That’s my new job. As they say here at St. Francis High School, “Pace e Bene,” Italian for “Peace and All Good.” Saint Francis said this to each individual he met, and it has held great relevance for me since arriving here. Peace is real here at St. Francis High School, and it spreads in the form of the Franciscan virtues as we prepare students to grow as individuals. If St. Francis High School is on your mind, know that yes, applications are still open for the upcoming school year, and you can access that page on our website here. I’d love to collaborate with your family as we talk, tour, and build your student’s successful path at St. Francis High School. Remember, Pace e Bene, peace and all good. You’ll feel it here, and I look forward to meeting you soon.
Warm regards,
Patrick Jacobsen, Director of Admissions
