Preparing for Sunday
St. Francis subscribes to a weekly service called Preparing for Sunday, which provides some brief commentary on the bible readings for the upcoming weeks. It can be found on the Sermons & Services page on the St. Francis website (https://tinyurl.com/sermonspage) . I encourage all of you to consider looking at it prior to Sunday, particularly if you are a lector for the week.

Old Pew
One of the pews in the choir loft is old, tired, and broken, and would like to find a new purpose as something else. This is very nice wood. If you or somebody you know would like the pew in order to repurpose it, please contact John Hoffmann (503-982-4825) or Betsy Yacob (503-422-8463).

Tribute Chairs
The music program is a vital part of our church’s ministries and has contributed to the success and growth of our Parish. It has now grown to nearly 30 members. This growth has exceeded the original number of seats provided in the choir loft. The loft area (platform) has been increased by 50% thanks to Robert Campbell and a few helpers. The choir currently sits on a combination of old pews (with a crack in the seat) and folding chairs, which leads to uncomfortable seating with no place for members to put their music and books except the floor, and to pile them in the pews afterward.
To help reimburse the capital improvements fund for the purchase of the 30 chairs, which are designed for choirs with shelves and places for books and music, the choir is asking for your help and a chance for you to honor God, your family, yourself, or a loved one by contributing. We are working on ways to recognize your gift of full or shared chairs.
Choir members of our church family are asking your help to reimburse the church’s capital fund, provide them with comfortable and proper seating for their practices and services, and a way to honor God and those you love(d). For more information or questions please contact: Mary Stewart, 503-891-4103, or Rob Chittenden, 503-781-2628.

Ministry Prayers – Festival Ministry
Each week, in our Prayers of the People, we pray for a ministry here at St. Francis. This week, we pray for our Festival Ministry. The Festival Ministry was formed some years ago for the purpose of honoring and celebrating important Feast Days in the Episcopal Church. They work with other ministries to help coordinate some of the smaller celebrations along with helping at Christmas and Easter, which have regular committees working on them. The Ministry is responsible for helping organize Epiphany, Pentecost, Trinity Sunday, St. Francis Day, All Saints Day, All Souls Day, Church anniversaries, and any other celebrations the church requests. We work mainly with the Altar Guild, Flower Guild, and Hospitality, but stand ready to assist as needed with other Church festival days. We welcome anyone who thinks they may want to join this ministry to contact Jane Domagalski and Apryl Garmon for more information.

Wilsonville Food Bank
The food bank is in need of CEREAL, TOILET PAPER, and TISSUES. They do NOT need peanut butter at this time. They also do not need fruit, rice, or pasta, and cannot store fresh fruit. Do not put any type of fresh fruit in the cart. It goes bad before they can use it. Please put any donations in the cart in the Narthex. A volunteer takes the food to the Food Bank every Tuesday.
