ST. AUGUSTINE'S NEWS

KOHALA CARES UPDATE

As you may know, St. Augustine's provides space for Kohala Cares, a volunteer-driven organization committed to reducing food insecurity in North Kohala. Their caring presence on our campus makes for a vibrant community partnership, and we are so grateful! Their work to procure and distribute food every week (Tuesdays starting at 4:30 pm) is a wonderful fit with the St. Augustine's monthly community meal.

During the pandemic, Peter Pomeranze established the Kohala Cares food distribution program, giving away 130 -150 bags of groceries each week. The program remains as robust as ever with the help of many! Mahalo nui to all the wonderful donors and volunteers who are dedicated to food assistance in our neighborhood.

COLLEGE SUPPORT FUND

St. Augustine's is hoping to fund to continuing scholars as well as some newly graduated students for the 2023-2024 academic year. Please consider contributing to our College Support fund.

Your gifts mean so much to our youth and their ‘ohana. Mahalo for considering this investment in the future!
