Mike Way Free Coaching Symposium- 9/14

Harvard Head Coach Mike Way along with Thierry Lincou and Nick Taylor will be hosting a free coaching discussion at Harvard's Murr Center on Saturday, September 14, 9am-12pm. Coaches, player-coaches, players and parents interested in sharpening their skills on-court and/or behind the glass will benefit from this opportunity. A variety of topics from the technical to the tactical will be covered. Open courts and round-robin to follow. There will be parking behind the stadium. Refreshments will be sponsored by MA Squash.

WOMEN'S SQUASH NIGHT 2024

Kick off the squash season and reunite with other Boston area women for a fun, social, squash filled night at Harvard's Murr Center on Tuesday, September 17th.


All levels are welcome to attend this free event! 


Women's Squash Night is part of Women's Squash Week, a national initiative to energize women's participation in squash.  


Boston regularly tops the country in attendance. Last year, 75 area women, from beginners to nationally ranked, came out and had a great time, making it the highest attended Women's Squash Night in the world.


There will be food, drinks, and instruction for novices.


Get there between 6:00-6:15 to check in so you can jump on a court right at 6:30.

Will Hartigan Annual Speaker Series on Athletics & Well Being

All MA Squash and The University Club of Boston members are invited to attend the inaugural Will Hartigan Annual Speaker Series on Athletics & Well Being.

MA Squash Leagues: Sign-up Deadline IS Approaching

MA Squash 2024-2025 League Sign-ups are underway! We are starting early this year in anticipation of a record number of teams. The launch email went out to the Club Pros and contacts in August, with deadlines for team submissions on September 18. League matches will begin on the week of October 14. Start planning now!


We will once again be offering a Women's 4.0 league for 3.3-4.3 players. You do not have to be affiliated with a club to join. If interested, please complete this form.

Referee Clinics offered by MA Squash

Interested in hosting a MA Squash sponsored free referee clinic at your club? Please contact Nat Lovell for a one hour multi-media Rules and Refereeing Clinic at your club or school. Nat is the Rules and Referee Director for Massachusetts Squash and is a US Squash National Level Certified Squash Referee. Who's In For The Howe Cup? Teams Are Forming Now

The US Squash Women's Team Championships, aka the Howe Cup, is the country's largest squash event for women -- and the most fun! The singles tournament pits teams of five players from a city or region against other teams from across the country and Canada in A, B, C and D draws. And you can also play doubles!

Coaching Opportunity

St. Sebastian's in Needham is looking for a Squash Coach to continue building the program into a top-level team. The school has 6 brand new courts with solid interest within the student body. The squash season runs December through February, with a time slot of 2-5pm. St. Sebastian's is part of the ISL. The position comes with a stipend, and an opportunity to host outside tournaments.


The St. Sebastian's squash program began as a club sport in 2001 and has evolved into an interscholastic sport serving players at multiple levels. With the opening of the West Campus Center in 2019, St. Sebastian's now hosts six state of the art courts as part of the new squash complex. Players at both the high school and middle school level compete against other programs in the Independent School League and at the NEPSAC level.

Wellesley College is seeking a head coach for its Club Squash team, running from October to February. This is a women’s college team with 9-12 players at beginner to intermediate levels. The coach is expected to plan and attend practices 3 mornings a week at Dana Hall and provide coaching during weekend matches.


This is a part-time position under the Director of Recreation. Compensation is $3,500, pending background checks. Interested candidates should email Miraya Gupta and Zhirou Lian with their resume and experience.

Round Robins

Massachusetts Squash


MA Squash is pleased to announce the plan to resume its Junior Round Robin Program for the 2024-25 season.This series of Sunday afternoon round robins, held at Harvard’s Murr Center, allows beginner/intermediate junior players to play games in a friendly, less competitive environment.


There are two separate sessions held on these Sunday afternoons. We’ll start the season with Pods 1, 2, and 5 playing from 2:00-3:30 pm. Pods 3 and 4 will play from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. Please visit our website to know your pod.


Volunteers are always needed. Parents are encouraged to help out at the sessions – no prior experience is necessary. Just let the Round Robin site coordinator know when you arrive on the day of play.

SquashBusters is running a series of free skill level round robins. To attend you are required to complete a brief facility quiz and sign the waiver that follows. This is a one time process.

Wheeler Cup at SquashWest

LearnSquash Clinics


LearnSquash offers junior clinics on Sundays from 9am-1pm at 5 different levels for boys/girls ages 10-18yrs old. There is also a separate 6-9yr old clinic for boys/girls at 9am. Each clinic is for 1 hour and the cost is $40. The junior clinics are held at the Winsor School Squash Center located at 103 Pilgrim Rd in Boston. 


Sunday Adult Clinics:

LearnSquash is now offering a weekly adult clinic for beginner to intermediate level every Sunday from 1:00-2:00pm at WINSOR. The clinics are open to the general public. 

Equipment is provided free of charge.


NEW - Court Rental is now available on Saturdays at Winsor from 9:30am-6pm. 

There is a flat rate of $40/hr for up to 4 players per court. Email us at info@learnsquash.com to inquire about booking a court.

Schedule:

Juniors rated 3.5 and above Saturdays at 12:30pm.

Juniors rated below 3.5 Mondays at 3:45pm.


Clinics go for 60 mins or 90 mins.
