ROAR Incentives

THANK YOU for supporting Springboro Intermediate in our two fundraisers this spring. Between the two, we raised a little over $8,000! All money will go towards student incentives and fun end of the year activities.

Our 4th quarter incentives start next week. Students can earn ROAR tickets by exhibiting ROAR behaviors (being Respectful, taking Ownership, being Awesome and being Responsible). Students then can use their ROAR ticket for their chance to win fun prizes each week. The first 8 weeks, prizes will range between $20-$40 in value, then the last full week of school, the final prizes will value between $60-$75! Because of your support, we are able to recognize and reward our students with these awesome prizes. Thank you!

Fundraiser Pick Up Event

If you placed orders through our first fundraiser, items will be available for pick up on Wednesday March 13 from 5-6:30pm.

Student Clubs

There is still time to sign up for the spring Babysitters Club session and the Spanish Club.

News From the Fox Den

"What Do I Bring to My Team?" is the title of the March Fox Den lesson. The lesson will begin with a video of the 2014 UD Flyer basketball players discussing what "True Team" meant to them and how they had such a winning season.

Secondly, Mrs. Fox will review the 6 RFactor Skills from her Above the Line lesson, as well as our R.O.A.R. values.

R:1 Press Pause/Be Responsible

  • Do I stop and think before making a choice or reacting to a situation?
  • I need to take time to pause and reflect.

R:2 Get Your Mind Right/Be Respectful

  • Do I focus on the positives about the staff and students at school?
  • Am I happy for my peers when they succeed?

R:3 Step Up/Be Awesome

  • Even when it's difficult, do I practice integrity?
  • My choices - good or bad - directly impact others = INFLUENCE.
  • Show perspective and empathy.

R:4 Adjust and Adapt/Take Ownership

  • Am I able to accept ownership when I make a mistake?
  • I am in charge of my effort and attitude.

R:5 Make a Difference/Take Ownership

  • How can I step up to make SI even better?

R:6 Build Skill

  • Am I intentional about making good choices on a daily basis?

Lastly, the students will decide what character trait they bring to their team (integrity, positivity, empathy, perspective taking ownership, etc.). They will write it on a basketball and post it in their team's hallway.

HB 123 Lesson #3- Preventing Suicide

Springboro Intermediate students will be participating in HB123 lesson #3, Preventing Suicide, on Thursday, Mar. 21.

We recognize parents play a vital role in their child’s education and we value your partnership. We believe that working together with families creates the most supportive environment for our students. However, we understand families may have different comfort levels with this subject matter. If you do not wish for your child to participate in this lesson, please click Here. If you have further questions, please contact Andrea Cook at acook@springboro.org.

Order Your Yearbook Now

The 2023-24 yearbook is now on sale. Preorder your child's yearbook at yearbookforever.com. Yearbooks will be distributed the last week of school. Order your book now to guarantee your child receives their 6th grade yearbook.

General SI Information

After School Endeavor Program

If your child is not ready to stay home alone once school is out for the day, the Endeavor Program could be your solution! The Endeavor program is housed at Springboro Intermediate, it provides a safe and supervised place for students until parents/guardians are able to pick them up. More information on Endeavor along with their contact information can be found HERE.

Car Riders

Student Drop Off in the Mornings

Springboro Intermediate opens at 6:45am. If your child arrives between 6:45 - 7:19, they will report to the cafeteria. At 7:20, students will be released from the cafeteria to their lockers. All students being dropped off will enter the building through the main entrance. Please review our Traffic flow map for guidance on drop off procedures.

Student Pick Up in the Afternoons

Students will be dismissed at 2:20 p.m. All students will exit the building using various doors that face 741. Cars are asked to park in the shoulder on 741 in front of the building and wait for their child. Do NOT park in the side parking lot to pick up your child.

To help alleviate traffic back ups, it is important that we follow these traffic guidelines.

  1. When picking up your child, please pull all the way down to the end of the sidewalk. When the person in front of you leaves, please pull up to allow others in behind you.
  2. If you get to the pickup line and it is full, please continue driving south on 741 and turn right on Elmwood, make another right on Lookout and then another right on Mill. Continue to make this loop until there is space open in front of SI.

Office Hours

Springboro Intermediate office is open Monday - Friday, 7:00a.m. - 3:00p.m.

Lunch Information

Lunch payments may be made on-line through PaySchools Central. Cash or check (payable Springboro Intermediate) is also accepted. Free and reduced lunch applications are also available online. Check out the monthly lunch menu here.

Water Bottles

Water fountains are available throughout the school building, but students can also bring a water bottle and carry it with them throughout the school day. There are also 3 water refill stations throughout the building for students to refill their bottles.

Please ensure your child's water bottle has a screw on lid, no straws and water only.

Student Handbook

All students will receive a student handbook on their first day. The students should carry this handbook with them to all classes and use this to write their homework assignments in. This should also be used a resource for the schools expectations and districts code of conduct. If lost, students can repurchase a book in the main office for $3.05. You can also view a copy of the digital version HERE.

If you believe your child is being bullied, harassed, or you suspect any type of suspicious behavior, contact your child’s principal or report the incident through our Student Safety Reporting System.
