Still Need Your Child's Schedule?

If your child was unable to attend the schedule pick up event on Aug. 8, the building will be open on Monday Aug. 12 from 8am - 11am. You will need to enter the building through the main entrance and check in through the office to receive your schedule.

Staff will NOT be available to assist during this time. We ask that you do not interrupt the teachers if you see them in their rooms as they are working hard to prepare for the school year. Thank you in advance for respecting their time.

General Schedule Pick Up Information and Tips:

  • Lost Schedule: All students will receive a new schedule on the first day of school so please do not panic if your child is not able to pick up their schedule prior to the start of school or happens to lose it between Aug. 8 and Aug. 15!
  • Be Careful: Students are excited to share their schedules with their friends by taking a picture and posting it on various forms of social media. If your child chooses to do this, make sure they do NOT include their locker combination or student identification number.
  • School Supplies: If you pre-ordered a school supply kit, they will be available child to receive on Thursday. All supply kit boxes have been placed in students homeroom. 6th grade school supply list.
  • Lockers: Students will have plenty of time the first few days of school to organize and practice combinations.
  • Medication Drop Off: If your child requires medication during the school day, or you want over the counter medication available for your child during the school day, please email Mrs. Kallschmidt to schedule a time to drop off the medication.
  • Before you bring any medication into the building, you will need to complete the appropriate medical forms.
  • If your child has anaphylactic allergies, epilepsy or asthma, parents/guardians will need to fill out a care plan and have it signed by their doctor.

First Days of School

We will spend the first hour (7:30am - 8:30am) of our first three days helping our students get acclimated to SI. On Thursday, Friday and Monday, students will report to their homeroom (listed on the top right hand corner of their schedule) to begin their day.

Starting on Tuesday, Aug.20 , we will run our daily bell schedule. Students will report directly to their 1st period class. Students academic day will be 7:30am - 2:20pm with a 30 minute lunch and 30 minute Panther Time. All students end their day in Panther Time; this 30 minute class will focus on reinforcing topics that are identified as areas of need through our MAP testing and classroom performance. Panther Time is not a class that shows up on the students schedules; students will report to their homeroom teacher for Panther Time, this will adjust as the year progresses.

Transportation: Bus and Car Riders

Bus Route Information

Bus route information is now available at our transportation department. Our district's online system will give you up-to-date information on your student's bus schedule. To find your stop and bus times, please put in the street number, street name (no abbreviations).

If your address has a directional notation (N/S/E/W) please use it when entering your address. If your stop does not come up, then try it without. Also, if you live on a State Route, omit the word STATE and just use Route as the name (example: 123 Route 48).

THESE ROUTES CAN CHANGE DAILY. PLEASE RE-CHECK YOUR BUS TIMES THE NIGHT BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS AS THERE MAY BE CHANGES BETWEEN NOW AND THEN.

If you have any questions, please contact the transportation department at 937-748-4462.

Student Drop Off in the Mornings

Springboro Intermediate opens at 6:45am. If your child arrives between 6:45 - 7:19, they will report to the cafeteria. At 7:20, students will be released from the cafeteria to their lockers. All students being dropped off will enter the building through the main entrance. Please review our Traffic flow map for guidance on drop off procedures.

Student Pick Up in the Afternoons

Students will be dismissed at 2:20p.m. All car riders/walkers will exit the building through the main entrance. Cars are asked to park in the shoulder on 741 in front of the building and wait for their child. Do NOT park in the side parking lot to pick up your child.

To help alleviate traffic back ups, it is important that we follow these traffic guidelines.

  1. When picking up your child, please pull all the way down to the end of the sidewalk. When the person in front of you leaves, please pull up to allow others in behind you.
  2. If you get to the pickup line and it is full, please continue driving south on 741 and turn right on Elmwood, make another right on Lookout and then another right on Mill. Continue to make this loop until there is space open in front of SI.

Lastly, students are released at 2:20, if your schedule allows, you can pick your child up at 2:30 to help decrease the amount of traffic at dismissal time; this will also give your child time to get all belongings from their locker and not feel rushed to get out the door.

I want to thank you in advance for adhering to these guidelines.

If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to call the school at 937-748-4113.

Open House

Springboro Intermediate will hold an Open House on Aug. 21 6pm-8pm. This evening is designed for you to visit with your child's teachers to learn expectations and curriculum information. This is an open format; you can visit anytime during the 2 hour window and visit the teachers/classrooms of your choice in any order.

This event is for parents/guardians only.
