At 3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic, we're embracing this season of renewal by offering vital programs and resources tailored for our Bayview Hunters Point community. If you're a young person in San Francisco and need some help accessing counseling, getting your own apartment, or getting ready for college, we are here to help you!

Youth & Health Development

College Jump

We had a blast touring the UC Berkeley and University of San Francisco (USF) campuses with our College Jump participants last month! In case you haven’t heard, College Jump offers free college counseling and career guidance to any young person who is thinking about going to college or getting ready to apply. Our dynamic approach to college readiness includes a College Jump workshop, individualized college planning, and other helpful resources!

Summer Health Education (SHEP)

We are now accepting applications for our Summer Health Education Program (SHEP). This 8-week (paid) summer program runs from June 2024 to July 2024 and centers on various topics related to health and community. HealthCore

We couldn’t be more proud of our HealthCore rockstars! Together, we delved into a comprehensive curriculum, combining community college courses with specialized health classes curated by our Youth Development Specialists!

Digital Tech Boundaries & Teen DV 101 Workshop

We had the pleasure of hosting Taylor Stommel, Youth Domestic Violence Prevention Coordinator at Black Women Revolt. Taylor spoke about setting healthy boundaries both online and offline. Thank you, Taylor and Black Women Revolt for helping us promote safety in our community!

Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC) Youth Health and Wellness Event

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at MNHC’s Youth Health and Wellness event! We had a great time sharing information about the comprehensive health and wellness services that we offer at 3rd Street.

Counseling

Our counseling team of Clinical Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists partners with young people to help them explore their goals and aspirations, build coping skills, manage grief, sadness, and anxiety, and develop confidence to tackle obstacles.

Housing

With a goal to end homelessness for the young residents of Bayview Hunters Point and San Francisco, 3rd Street offers rapid re-housing, access to the City’s Coordinated Entry System, emergency housing vouchers, financial support to cover move-in costs and housing-focused case management. 🌟The Cove, our newest housing and resource access point at 800 Innes located on the Hunters Point side of Bayview Hunters Point.

Lower Polk Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) Navigation Center

Our Lower Polk TAY Navigation Center operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is free to young adults, ages 18 to 29, who have been referred from San Francisco’s Coordinated Entry System. Youth can stay with us for up to six months while acquiring the tools needed to move into their own homes. To learn more, visit our website!
