Spring is Sprouting!

Spring is in the midst of sprouting on our landscape and I encourage you to #getoutside and see what spring secrets are hiding! Bugs are buzzing, flowers are blooming, trees are budding, and baby animals of all shapes and sizes are sneaking out into our little nook of nature. April and May are filled with school children exploring the trails and Learning Center Barn on field trips, sprouts overtaking the greenhouse and gardens, and nature amazing us with its newness and beauty. Visit us during this season of regrowth and engage in all there is to discover!

Sincerely,

Scent with Love

from WPNR and the

Verostko Center for the Arts

WPNR celebrated Earth Day by spreading the love with the help of the Verostko Center for the Arts and Scent with Love!

Scent with Love collects flowers from weddings and events and bouquets past their prime in grocery stores and donates them to non-profit organizations in the Pittsburgh area.

WPNR was picked in April by Andrew Julo, Director and Curator of the Verostko Center for the Arts and Scent with Love volunteer. Visitors stopped by the Learning Center Barn to make a bouquet for themselves, a loved one, or a friend! Flowers ran out in record time and we are grateful to have brightened the days of so many! We hope to partner with SWL and the Verostko Center again soon!
