FOFAH Loves Volunteers

The Friends of the Farm at Hilltop, Inc is the 20 + year old, all-volunteer organization. This group of volunteers manages, restores, finds funding and creates this beautiful space as resource for the community- for you.

FOFAH owns the 9 acres with the Big White Dairy Barn, several houses and farm buildings. The nonprofit also pays annual rent to the Town of Suffield to manage this Open Space as an agricultural, educational and natural resource for us all. Volunteers make all this happen.

Become a FOFAH Volunteer and have fun. Volunteering can provide a number of benefits to you, too.

Research shows that Volunteering provides a connection to a community, a sense of purpose and decreases the risk of isolation and depression. By volunteering, you can develop new skills and meet new similarly minded people.

Get out of your Comfort Zone and Come to Hilltop. Become a FOFAH Volunteer.

A Final Thought- A Bit of Volunteer History

President Nixon established a National Volunteer Week in the United States in 1974. April is now designated as National Volunteer Month, and it serves as a reminder that even small efforts can create a ripple effect of positivity, inspiring others to make changes or an improvement

National Volunteer Month highlights the power of volunteer service throughout the year. During this month, you’ll find numerous ways you benefit, personally, while helping in your community.

Whether you’re a longtime volunteer within the community or thinking of becoming a volunteer, FOFAH applauds you. Thank You.
