"I believe educating myself at the higher level would expose me to greater ideas and knowledge to also help my society, especially women. With the help of God and with your help, I am very much convinced that I would become the woman I want to be one day."- Sarah, Freshman in Navrongo, Ghana.

Message from Our President

"Though I do not believe that a plant will spring up where no seed has been, I have great faith in a seed... Convince me that you have a seed there, and I am prepared to expect wonders." — Henry David Thoreau
Greetings friends! It is springtime again and I am always amazed at how the blossoms of Spring --with all their color -- fill my heart with hope and gladness. The girls we support are also filled with hope for continued support and gladness for the opportunities given them by Women InSpirit, Inc.
I would like to plant that seed for your support of Women InSpirit, Inc. Soon we will be mailing letters requesting your financial assistance again this year. For those of you who are not on our mailing list, but receive our Newsletters, we ask you – all of you – for either a first-time commitment or a RENEWAL of your support to Women InSpirit, Inc. No amount is too small and every gift makes a difference in the lives of those we support. Please visit our website to make a tax-deductible donation today. We are only able to do what we do with the support of our donors. I have great faith in this seed.
We continue to pray for each of you and we ask for your prayers in return. Blessings to you and yours.
Jennifer Appling

ANNOUNCING: 8 Students at Women InSpirit Tailoring School in Bolgatanga Ready to Graduate on Sunday,
APRIL 28.
We are so excited and extremely proud of our seamstresses!
Eight of our 2024 class of students are preparing to graduate in a regional graduation ceremony this weekend on April 28. They are really excited but like all graduates, are anxious about the unknown future! They are in good hands though and have a lot of support from Melisah (our partner), their teacher (Asofoma), and all their classmates. We have helped them create a community of friends they can rely on each other for support as they move forward with their lives.
We will be looking forward to watching each of the girls as she creates a living with her tailoring skills with her graduation gift- a brand new pedal sewing machine.
A new class of students will begin shortly after graduation. They are waiting patiently for their turn to begin as many have been hanging around learning to measure and cut patterns. They seem to have a head start.
