Care & Connect Breakfast:

A Great Way to Start the Day!

In March, PPCC was excited to host a brand new event: the Care & Connect Breakfast. This one-hour breakfast and program was an opportunity for guests who toured our center over the last year to gather, hear stories from our staff, and consider supporting the center through their gifts. PPCC has established a new opportunity for supporters called the Forrester-Beck Giving Society. As a result of the breakfast, we are thrilled to welcome 12 new founding members to the giving society. It’s not too late for you to become a founding member too!

Visit our website or contact Ford McFall at fordmcfall@peninsulapastoral.org to learn more.

We are grateful to our sponsors for the Care & Connect Breakfast.

Thank you to:

TowneBank (Sponsor of Wholeness)

Hampton Roads Pediatric Dentistry (Sponsor of Wellness)

Goodrich & Watson Insurers, Inc. (Sponsor of Care)

Care & Connect Tours

PPCC wants to make new friends!

Every month we host one hour Care & Connect tours of our center. Are you interested in learning more about the work we do? Now is the perfect time to come and bring your friends, co-workers, or others to get introduced to PPCC’s mission.

We are excited to meet people who share a passion for our work to bring mental health counseling to all who can benefit regardless of ability to pay. To set up a tour, please contact Ford McFall at 757-873-2273 or fordmcfall@peninsulapastoral.org.

Let’s get to know each other!

PPCC receives $80,000 from Sentara Health to support Resident Training Program

We are pleased to announce a generous contribution of $80,000 from Sentara Health to assist with our Resident Training Program.

The $80,000 donation from Sentara will be utilized by PPCC to cover the cost of clinical supervision for graduate and post graduate students in our Resident Training Program; to provide educational workshops in the community; and to offer financial assistance to clients who are uninsured or cannot afford their copays.

Williamsburg Community Foundation

The Williamsburg Community Foundation has awarded PPCC a $1,000 grant to help us meet the demand for mental health counseling by developing and training future counselors through our training program!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

"Mental Health in a Changing World” is the theme for this year’s Mental Health Month. The organization Mental Health America reminds us, "In a world that is constantly evolving, it can be overwhelming to navigate the various challenges and changes happening around us.”  This is true no matter what your age or stage in life!

To better support individuals, couples, and families on the Peninsula, PPCC will host seminars during the month of May from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm in the PPCC Conference Room. A different topic will be addressed each week to include marriage enrichment, parenting skills, caregiving, and grief. For more details, visit our website and register online!
