Spring Break Boredom Buster: KidCreate Art at Home
|
These art kits are so much fun, it’s like having your very own private art teacher. Each kit contains an easy-to-follow lesson plan, a link to a correlating online instructional video and the art materials needed to create a fridge-worthy masterpiece.

Place order by Mon, March 15 for pick up on Wed, March 17 between 2-6pm at the Memorial Building, 700 Longs Peak. $30 for two kits.

Calling all cupcake lovers! Be welcomed by the smell of freshly baked cupcakes and learn how to decorate these goodies using sugar fondant, sugar craft tools and a lot of creativity. In a small group Ellen will give you step-by-step instructions to create themed designs like a pot of gold and shamrocks! Everybody leaves with 6 beautifully decorated cupcakes. No previous experience required.
Ages 6-14: 4-6pm, Fri, March 12
Ages 10+: 10am-12pm, Sat, March 13

St Vrain's Spring Break is March 22-26. Keep your kids busy and entertained with our no-school day offerings. A new class will be featured each week.
LEGO Engineering
Transportation: 9am-12noon, Ages 5-7
Break the sound barrier on a supersonic jet, deliver cargo by train, and explore a swamp in your airboat.
Harry Potter: 1-4pm, Ages 7-12
Visit Diagon Alley, play a game of Quidditch, and duel Lord Voldemort. Hone your magical skills while learning about advanced Muggle (STEM) concepts.

Girls Fastpitch Softball - Register by March 21
|
Our organized team participation softball program for girls ages 6-18 develops a sense of team play where participation, FUN, skills and sportsmanship are emphasized. Teams meet 2-3 times per week for games and/or practices. Away games involve travel to surrounding cities. Register according to age as of Jan 1, 2021. Registration deadline is March 21.
Ages 6-18: Days/Times/Locations vary, $70-$115

Spring Break Sports Camps
|
Come join Recreation Staff for a week of playing outdoors. We will play multiple sports which could include floor hockey, basketball, t-ball, softball, soccer, volleyball, flag football, tennis and/or kickball. Please come prepared for the weather and ready to play in tennis shoes. Bring sunscreen, a water bottle and a snack. You can sign up for one day or the whole week.
Ages 6-12: 9am-12pm, M-F, March 22-26, $18/day or $79/week. Clark Centennial Park, 1100 Lashley St.

Land & Water Drop-in Fitness
|
More than 30 types of land and water drop-in fitness classes are offered between four different facilities: Centennial Pool, Longmont Recreation Center, St Vrain Memorial Building and seasonally, Sunset Pool. Class schedules and descriptions can be found on our fitness website.
Need to make a change? Online cancellation for facility use and fitness classes is now available.

Longmont Ice Pavilion - Last Day to Skate is March 12
|
Next week is your last chance to enjoy drop-in hockey and open skating at the Longmont Ice Pavilion in Roosevelt Park. The rink will close for the season on Friday, March 12. Thank you for your patronage this winter and we'll see you again next November.

Become certified to teach swim lessons for the City of Longmont! Our LSI (Longmont Swim Instructor) training will prepare you to teach pre-school swim lessons (youth 3-5) and the BLAST- Accelerated Swim Lesson Program (youth 5-12). Pre-Requisite: Ability to swim all 4 competitive strokes proficiently 15+ yards by last class day.
