DIGITAL DAILIES

We've just wrapped up Season 4 of Bates Motel, the hit TV series for A&E. Frank Robinson, our talented Sr. Dailies Colorist, has been working closely with series DOP John Bartley the last two seasons to help bring the creative vision of this moody drama to life.

In order to meet the series tight deadlines, Frank uses   MTI Cortex Dailies for color grading, data management and delivery. "Cortex is such a powerful program. It not only allows me to quickly and easily setup different deliverables, but it also allows me to experiment with creative looks and  moods, which are critical to Bates Motel." says Robinson. "John has such a great eye, and love being able to help extend that creative vision further".

Technical Producer Dave Rice runs Dailies Operations at Finalé. "Clients love throwing as many dailies tasks at us as possible, but with Cortex and our high speed Sohonet connection to LA, we don't ever have a problem" says Rice.

He also mentions how critical Frank is to the Bates Motel operation. "Frank is the guy you want on your project. He has 25 years of experience and knows how to communicate with production and the network about color. I really think he's an extension of the DPs eye, and he's proven that over and over again."

The Crazy8s film festival was a huge success once again this year.
Finale's post team worked intensely with Director Shannon Kohli's "A Family of Ghosts" and Jesse Lupini's "Iteration 1" on their films, and we were proud to see them on the screen at the Gala.

Congratulations to all of this year's participants!
