Burn Day - Saturday, May 14. A permit is required. Leaves may not be burned, only brush. Burning is not allowed within 1400 feet of the Village, the City of Ferrysburg, or the City of Norton Shores.Burn permits are valid for the calendar year, so if you have a permit from the March burn day it is still valid.

Medication Disposal - We provide a bin for dropping off unwanted medications at Fire Station #1, 106 N. Fruitport Rd. The bin in the lobby is available 8am to 5pm on weekdays. Remove your pills from the bottle and put them in a plastic bag. Liquids or gels can be left in their original containers, but please black out or remove the labels. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department will handle the disposal.
