Spring Cleaning
Now that the weather is getting nicer, it's time to clean up the winter mess. Spring Lake Township has some resources to help.

Dumpster Day - Saturday, May 13, 8am to noon. Township and Village residents only.There is a charge for dumping items. More information is attached. DPW Building, 16747 150th Ave

Burn Day - Saturday, May 20. A permit is required. Leaves may not be burned, only brush. Burning is not allowed within 1400 feet of the Village, the City of Ferrysburg, or the City of Norton Shores.Burn permits are valid for the calendar year, so if you have a permit from the March burn day it is still valid.

Medication Disposal - We provide a bin for dropping off unwanted medications at Fire Station #1, 106 N. Fruitport Rd. The bin in the lobby is available 8am to 5pm on weekdays. Remove your pills from the bottle and put them in a plastic bag. Liquids or gels can be left in their original containers, but please black out or remove the labels. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department will handle the disposal.

Household Hazardous Waste - Ottawa County operates several environmental sustainability centers, where household hazardous waste can be safely disposed of. Check their website for accepted items.
