On Friday, March 8th, the University of Windsor Entrepreneurship, Practice and Innovation Centre (EPICentre) was presented with the Perseverance Award (sponsored by Build A Dream) at the International Women’s Day Gala hosted by WEST of Windsor Inc.

Since January 2022, EPICentre has proudly collaborated with the Embassy and Consulates of the United States on the Entrepreneurship SpeakHER Series, spotlighting the journeys of American female entrepreneurs. Thus far, the series has consisted of 10 virtual speaker session interviews, 2 virtual networking events, and the most recent and first in-person activation of the NetworkHER Event.

VentureU, a 5-day bootcamp program held during the University’s reading week, aims to foster innovation and teamwork among students of all levels. From Tuesday the 20th of February till Saturday the 24th of February, the EPICentre proudly hosted 40 lancers for the 3rd cohort of its VentureU program. Yes! You heard that right, 3rd Cohort!

EPICentre, in partnership with Prof. Myra Tawfik, Don Rodzik Family Chair in Law and Entrepreneurship, and LTEC Lab, hosted the “Disruptive Technology: AI and its Impact on the Legal Profession and the Automotive Industry – What Path (s) for Regulation?” symposium on March 1st. The full-day symposium brought together 13 distinguished speakers from academia and industry to discuss the transformative impact of AI on two key sectors: the legal profession and the automotive industry.

The Cross-border MentHERship program is a designed to help Canadian women entrepreneurs looking to expand or grow their business into the U.S market. This initiative brings together seasoned female mentors from the U.S. to guide participants in their efforts as they explore the dynamic and competitive market in the U.S.

The Founders Program is an intensive 12-week accelerator program for early-stage founders looking to learn how to a build a viable startup business model. Over the course of 12-weeks, participants will receive up to $6,000 as a participation award, have access to dynamic, mentors and coaches, as well as the opportunity to attend tailored workshops, training seminars, and special events.

The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) is the premier global competition for students who own and operate a business while attending college or university.
