Cradle of Civilization
The trip begins with an overnight flight from the USA to Greece, where you'll meet your ACIS tour manager and start exploring Athens. You'll spend the next two days discovering the city's ancient wonders; including the Acropolis and Parthenon, as well as enjoying a Greek cultural evening with traditional music, dance, and food. On day 4, you'll have the option to take a cruise to the islands of Hydra, Aegina, and Poros or spend the day exploring Athens at your own pace. After a day trip to Delphi, where you'll visit the Temple of Apollo and Archaeological Museum, you'll take an overnight ferry to Italy. In southern Italy, you'll visit a working mozzarella farm and then make your way to Sorrento. From there, you'll travel to Rome, where you'll explore the ancient city's landmarks like Pompeii and the Colosseum with timed entrances to avoid long lines. The trip concludes with a panoramic drive of Rome, a visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, and an authentic Roman pizza dinner before departing for the USA on day 9.
