Spring Branch Medical Center Update

As you may know, the Spring Branch Medical Center has been vacant for some time. The investor group that owns the building recently gave me an update about their plans.  I want to make sure you are updated since this former hospital has been so important to the entire District A community.  Here is the press release from BlackSwan Investment Partners:

"The owners of the former Spring Branch Medical Center located at 8850 Long Point Rd. have decided to move forward with an environmentally sound plan for the complete demolition of the existing structure to prepare the site for eventual future development. There are no specific development plans at this time, but the owners believe that some appropriate combination of residential and retail components will be proposed for the site at a later time. The investor group, 8850 Long Point Partners, LP, acquired the property in September 2013 and is led by Gregory Pappas of BlackSwan Investment Partners and Bruce Phillips of PinPoint Commercial."


All medical records from the former hospital can be found through www.sbmcmedicalrecords.com.  Records are stored with VeriTrust and Iron Mountain, depending on the time period.  The website has instructions for requesting records.
