Hello MPI CRV!
Can you believe we are three-quarters of the way through our MPI year already? Time has flown by and we've accomplished so much as a chapter in the past 9 months including:
Inviting Jessie States from MPI Global to update the chapter on the State of the Industry in January.
Hosting a very fun MPI CRV "Family Feud" education program in March put on by our talented student chapter.
Executing our most well attended XSITE New England with top notch education from welcome speaker Michelle Johnson from The Anchor Group and our dynamic keynote Janine Drive from the Body Language Institute, followed by a reverse tradeshow. This event was the chapter's way of supporting the first Global Meetings Industry Day on April 14, 2016!
Raising $4500 in sponsorships to support chapter education thanks to Caesars Entertainment, TCORS Capitol Group, Dave and Buster's, and Teddy's Transportation.
Thinking out of the box and raising over $600 for the MPI Foundation and $300 for the MPI CRV chapter at our Chairman's Challenge: Psychic Connection with Gary McKinstrey in April. The group reading gave us chills!
Recruiting 28 new members to date and engaging 31 volunteers. Our mantra is the more you put in, the more you get out - it's not too late to volunteer!
Securing a free shuttle to and from WEC 2016 in Atlantic City and offering drive-in chapter discounts to members (planners, suppliers, and students) for registration. (See
www.mpicrv.org for details!)
And we're not done yet! We have two more exciting events coming up - the May After 5 on May 18 at Dave and Busters in Manchester, CT and our always popular Annual Gala in June at The Riverview in Simsbury, CT. We certainly hope you will join us to round out a fabulous year for the chapter!

I joined MPI
as a way to network with other industry professionals, but I have gained so much more out of my membership. MPI has allowed me to become a better meeting/sales professional through the amazing education it provides, and given me the opportunity to talk to other industry professionals and understand what is impacting their jobs. XSITE New England 2016 - GMID Thank you!
We'd like to thank everyone that participated in XSITE New England as part of a successful Global Meetings Industry Day.
April 14th saw 115 events across 5 continents and over 30 countries, topping the 88 events we had for North American Meetings Industry Day last year. Another big thanks for participating so actively in the GMID social conversation on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. We saw lots of great posts. The #GMID16 hashtag received almost 40 million impressions between April 11th and 18th, absolutely shattering last year's 3.2 million impressions for #NAMID15.
