New Jersey Acute Care Nurse Residency Collaborative

The acute care collaborative aims to increase the use of standardized, high-quality nurse residency programs across the state through the implementation of the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program.

There are now 22 hospitals (15 in the GAINS Grant) participating in the Nurse Residency Collaborative. The NJ turnover rate is 11.0% . The first year RN turnover rate nationally is 28.7% (NSI, 2023). This demonstrates a return on investment (ROI) for organizations.

Please contact Dr. Edna Cadmus at ednacadm@sn.rutgers.edu if you are interested in joining the Collaborative or click HERE for more information.

GAINS Grant 5

In 2024, NJCCN received a fifth GAINS Grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOL). Currently, we have 22 hospitals with 15 receiving funding.
