As always, all materials are included.

Classes are always designed for beginning level and up.

Time permitting, you may make additional pieces for a smaller additional fee.

Your piece(s) will be fired in Heidi's kiln and any hardware added. Most pieces are available for pick-up within a few days after class.

Are you squeamish about the idea of handling glass? No worries, and you're not alone. Understood! Trimming will be done for you. Or if you like, learn to use a glass nipping tool.

Happy Spring!

The red osier dogwood is brightening, and the red-winged blackbirds are back at Timbrehafen. I've also heard sandhill cranes and seen killdeer. We're hoping for another American woodcock nest, as last year's eggs failed to hatch.

You may have noticed that last summer's class offerings were a little sparse--that's because we were planing a wedding here on the property! Our daughter Anna was married in mid-August, in the spot pictured below, next to the pond. The weather was perfect! David officiated and Grandpa Finley walked Anna down the grassy aisle. The birches in the background offered a simple and lovely backdrop.

I'm making up for lost time with no less than 16 fused glass opportunities scheduled between now and September! You'll also see marbling and acrylic pour classes in the Fall, with the usual 2-day Introduction to Marbling Workshop and Marbled Silk Scarf classes at the college in Mid-September.

Incidentally, the Lifelong Learning program at North Central Michigan College in Petoskey offers a VAST collection of classes, lectures, workshops, etc. to adults year-round in Northern Michigan. If you're a resident or vacationer in the area, do check it out.
