Spotlight on: Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Celebrating 30 years of raising awareness for domestic violence
Did you know that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men aged 18 and older in the United States have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime?

CRC provides domestic violence prevention and intervention programs to help survivors find safety, stability and self-sufficiency. Learn more about our programs, including emergency shelter and transitional housing, Therapeutic Children's Center, Legal Advocacy, case management, education and outreach.

It can take a lot of courage to ask for help. Annie was hesitant to reach out after she fled a domestic violence situation and needed help getting back on her feet. But she was inspired by other CRC participants she read about and decided to meet with a case manager. Read more ...

A Tribute to Agnes "Nancy" Oakland Atherton

April 6, 1926 - July 8, 2017

As a former board member, donor, and volunteer, Nancy Atherton was a long-time supporter of CRC programs and services. She was committed to making the lives of families in need brighter. Nancy made a particular impact on the families impacted by domestic violence. Nancy has left an imprint on the staff and participants of CRC and she leaves a legacy that will live on through CRC’s programs and services ...
Congratulations to graduates of our Domestic Violence Advocate Training!
Last weekend, Jose Zamora, representative of California State Senator Joel Anderson, presented Certificates of Recognition to all the new domestic violence advocates who participated in our 40-hour certification. Jani Sepanik, CRC’s DV Education & Prevention Specialist provides DV prevention trainings like these in the community at Palomar College and North County San Diego schools.

Exposure Skate
Next weekend, join the amazing female skaters at Exposure Skate, the biggest women's skateboarding event in the world, right here in Encinitas. This annual event is also a fundraiser for Carol's House, our emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence. Watch the video to learn more.
