PIONEERING DOLBY ATMOS

IF YOU'VE SEEN AN ACTION BLOCKBUSTER IN A MODERN MOVIE THEATER, you know that the sound is amazing. You're wrapped in a blanket of sound that's coming from all directions. But, it's not just the dialogue and sound effects: the music is breathtaking. And it's not just that there are a lot of speakers. The reason that it sounds so three dimensional is the audio format. And it's called "Dolby Atmos." Jeff, Palette Music • Studio • Productions (MSP) is one of the pioneers in the use of this amazing technology. Because of this, an impressive list of artists have either traveled to Nashville to record with Jeff in person or have worked with him remotely through his Virtual Studio Networks (VSN).

Jeff recently upgraded Palette MSP to the latest Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 and Spatial Audio formats. This Atmos object- based mixing has now become the new sought-after immersive audio format for distribution through online music services such as Apple Music, Tidal & Amazon Music. HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS

ALL OF THESE PROJECTS CAME FROM A PLACE OF BEING COMPLETELY INSPIRED on a musical and technical level. BUT the cool thing is, each song is an Immersive/ Spatial Audio mix that came from the Dolby Atmos master! Just goes to show, Spatial Audio can easily be the "new stereo." Jeff produced and performed all of the music, and mixed/mastered "The Black Rose of Sharon" by Guardian ft. Debra Lyn. Additional vocals were by Natalie Jean. The Executive Producer, Emerald Rec (Ethan Johnson) wrote the song. Jeff received the nomination for Mixing/Engineering.

The next nomination was for an instrumental Jeff was featured on with the ever so talented SEAY called “In Dreaming.” Jeff says, “This was not only an extremely inspiring track to perform and mix in Dolby Atmos, it was without a doubt, our best collaboration over these many years we’ve been working together!” “In Dreaming” received the nomination for Instrumental.

Last but not least, Debra Lyn was nominated in Bluegrass for her song that she wrote, sang lead vocals & played bass on with her old band SOULGRASS! This was a special project for all involved since it featured a VERY old and dear friend of ours, the late Billy Ray Latham. Billy was the banjo player for the Kentucky Colonels, who were recently inducted into the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and a former member of the Dillard's to speak of a few.

You can find these and more Spatial Audio mixes on Jeff’s Spotify Playlist. Dolby Atmos / Spatial Audio 7.1.4 surround mixes are available to stream on Apple Music, Tidal and Amazon Music.
