St. James Men's Bowling League

IT’S GETTING CROWDED AT THE TOP

Half of the league’s teams are now either in first or second place. Last week’s position matches resulted in 3 way ties for both first and second place. The Pocket Pounders, winners of the first half and one of the teams currently tied for first in the second half have an 8 point lead in the overall championship race with six weeks left. Dave Connally’s 657 series(215,232,210) led the Pin Tails to a shut out sweep of the Wise Guys, dropping them into second and lifting the Pin Tails into first. Meanwhile, Harry Shoudy’s 671 series(257,215,199) enabled the last place X-Men to narrow the gap on their challengers, the Lucky Strikes, to only 2 points. Other top scores from last week are: Ken Updike -612(210,226), Bill Doody -611(205,213), Bret Sigillo -

596(226,200), Steve Homewood -590(234), Dave Matthews -584(223), Jack D’Ambrosio -574(229), David Logue -563(215), Dick Schondelmeier -552(205), Kevin Kremler -549(216), Tom Green -541(202), Mike Romanovsky -531(211), Joe Stiene -529(217), Tom Miller -526(200), Ralph Ventola -521, Dennis

Starboard: Facing forward, this is anything to the right of the boat. Same deal as “port” only the opposite.
