Jimmies Softball
The St James Jimmies dropped 2 games to the Bombers to open the 2021 Fall Season. In the first game, a 7th inning rally fell a little short as the Jimmies lost 10-8. John Salerno led the way at the plate with 3 hits. Mark Bradcovich, John Summerville and Rodney Mull each added 2 hits. The second game got away from the Jimmies early as the Bombers jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 16-3 victory. The Jimmies were not able to get their bats going and
several fielding errors proved costly. Bradcovich and Mull were the only players with 2 hits each. The next game for the Jimmies will be Tuesday, September 21 vs the Slammers played at the Lockwood Folly Park.

*Interested in playing for the Jimmies? Contact Tony Rollins, 703-901-3218; tony9rollins@gmail.com.

St. James Billiards League

The STJ Men’s Billiard League started in 2009.
The League invites experienced players join us for our
Fall/Winter Season, which kicks off in Early September thru
Easter each year. 8 ball is the game we play. Each night you will play three games (three team mates), against three opponents. One point per game that adds up to 9 points total each match. The match lasts about two hours. The quality of play is “Good – Strong”
competitive but friendly. Interested? Contact Commissioner Nick Nicolaides, www.nn4395@hotmail.com. That could lead to a try out for a team or get you on our substitute list. Over the years the league has grown from 8 to 14 teams and could end up with 16 teams as we continue to grow. We now
have settled into what we feel is the right way to continue the League.

We have started a new website this year. Here is where you see all the scores, stats and standings. We also have an email address www.stjbilliards@gmail.com which is used for sending match results right after the match ends so by the next day you know where you are in the standings. We are still trying to make things easier and fun, but still making it a little competitive too for everyone. If you miss playing this great game please call and try out for a team or get on our substitute list.
