He is Risen! Alleluia!

May the Joy of the Easter Season be with you!

Today we celebrate St. Joseph's second Feast, this one celebrating his role as worker. Our modern idea of work and relationships- even so long after the Cold War - is often tainted by Marxist materialism. This Feast was instituted to give a more positive, constructive, and transcendent understanding of our work.

We also have other amazing Saints including:

  • St. Athanasius - who stood almost completely alone for Jesus when most of the rest of the Church embraced Arianism
  • Blessed Michael Giedroyc - a cripple who used his artistic talents to construct beautiful works in metal.
  • The Apostles Sts. Phillip & James,
  • And more!

Don't forget on the Events Page :

  • The First Friday Social for May is this week.
  • The CRS Food Drive is this weekend in the Narthex
  • First Communion is this Sunday at the Noon Mass - Pray for all our First Communicants!

As always, check out our Events Page below that is updated weekly so you can know what is coming up.

Here's this week's update with what's going on with the Parish.

Joseph and the Shadow of Fatherhood

How can St. Joseph be a model for fathers when he’s not even Jesus’ real father?

Serious Mis-readings of Scripture & Serious Misunderstandings

Why Don't We Baptize in the Name of Jesus?

The first thing that we can say in response is that the trinitarian formula can't be rejected outright because Jesus expressly commanded the apostles to baptize using that formula: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matt.
