Jack-O-Lantern Nights at Racine Zoo

Jack-O'-Lantern Nights Returns This Fall

Over 1,000 jack-o'-lanterns and festive illuminations will light up the night at the Racine Zoo's Halloween event, Jack-O'-Lantern Nights.

September 28 - October 29

Thursdays - Sundays, 6 - 10 p.m.

$10 per person; Free for 2 years and younger

In the crisp fall air, stroll through the Zoo along a dedicated paved pathway and become immersed in dazzling lights and charming decorations. The intricately designed jack-o'-lanterns will look like pieces of art during the day and come to life at night for all to see. As you take in the delightful sights, warm up with seasonal food and beverages on site.

NEW: Pumpkin sculptures! These large structures will consist of multiple pumpkins placed together in the shape of an animal with details carved into them.

Calling All Foodies to the Largest Food Truck Event in Racine County

The 6th Annual Franksville Food Truck Festival will be the hot ticket item for any foodie visiting Racine County this summer! Join us September 8-9 at Franksville Memorial Park.


Sponsored by Franksville Craft Beer Garden, this FREE to attend family-friendly event features more than 20 food trucks, live music, craft beer and other beverages, bounce houses and playgrounds for kids, and more. The food line up this year will be among the largest in Southeastern Wisconsin!

Swan's Watermelon Festival

Celebrate watermelon harvest season at the annual Swan's Watermelon Festival on September 9-10!

Enjoy a fun-filled day in the country at Swan's Pumpkin Farm with shopping, live music, food, and lots of watermelon. There will be hayrides, pony rides, pedal karts, seed spitting and watermelon eating contests, and more for kids. Check out the new five acre corn maze!

This free to attend event features an art and craft fair on Saturday and a car show on Sunday.

Unleash Your Imagination at Sketch Racine

Sketchers throughout the Midwest as well as local artists will participate in Sketch Racine on September 9-10.

Hosted by the Racine Arts Council, organized sketch events will feature the DeKoven Center gardens and grounds, Wind Point Lighthouse, and historic urban Downtown Racine. After a full day of sketching on Saturday, there will be a Sketch Art Party at a private horse farm in Caledonia.

On Sunday, sketchers will have a rare opportunity to attend "Frank Lloyd Wright Perspective," an event hosted by The Johnson Foundation at Wingspread.

Party on the Pavement

Party on the Pavement

Plan to spend September 16 at the 20th annual Party on the Pavement street festival presented by Downtown Racine Corporation. With over 12 blocks filled with live music, food and drinks, street performances, shopping, games, and rides, there is something for the entire family! 

The event takes place throughout Downtown Racine and admission to the grounds is FREE.

Watch a BMX stunt team soar through the air, and a hip-hop and breakdance group host jaw dropping dance battles and performances. Enjoy a diverse lineup of live music with four stages of performances all day.

SAVOURing RAM @ 20

Savor cuisine paired with art at the Racine Art Museum's annual fundraiser, SAVOUR, on September 23 at RAM!

SAVOURing RAM @ 20 continues the SAVOUR tradition of pairing local artists and chefs to highlight some of Racine County's most exceptional creatives. Proceeds from this event support valuable programs at both museum campuses as well as local artists and restaurants.

Guests are encouraged to wear their best party attire to coordinate with the celebratory theme.

Racine Heritage Museum Heritage Walking Tours

Take a Trip Back in Time with Heritage Walking Tours

Take a trip back in time and gain a new appreciation for the history behind the buildings in Downtown Racine with the Racine Heritage Museum's Heritage Walking Tours!

Experience Wisconsin's rich and storied abolitionist, industrial, architectural, and immigrant history in this guided walking tour. The 1.1 mile, 1.5-2 hour walking tour is held every Saturday through September 30.

Hear tales of the bank robbery by John Dillinger, the gathering at Haymarket Square before heading to Milwaukee to free fugitive slave Joshua Glover, and the early history of the Racine harbor. Tour groups visit locations of existing historic buildings and those that have been demolished.
