Dear Steve,
March is such an unpredictable month. The weather can vary from heavy snow to warm and sunny. We ask: “Shall I wear the lighter or the heavier coat today?”
Lent is a time when winter begins to loosen its grip on the world. Maybe early signs of budding on tree limbs add to this sense of new life springing forth. During Lent, we prepare ourselves to receive this new life.
This March brings Holy Week and the celebration of the Lord’s Resurrection. As the world is again made new as things begin to spring to life, so we are reminded that all things are made new in the Lord.
Holy Week is a good time to make the Stations of the Cross on our grounds. This walk with the Lord can remind us of how the Lord chooses to carry our burdens with Him as He urges us to take up our crosses daily. Easter is a good time to visit the 15th Station and the Empty Tomb and thank the Lord for our salvation. (Before walking the grounds, check in with the front office to be sure the grounds are open to visitors.)
Happy Easter to all!

An evening of discovery with Ignatian Spirituality Project
|
Come and learn how you can be part of a ministry of hope and healing.
Thursday, March 21, | 7:00-8:00 PM at Manresa
Manresa is hosting an evening of discovery with representatives from Ignatian Spirituality Project (ISP) to give our community the opportunity to learn about ISP’s ministry to men and women recovering from homelessness and addiction, and to appeal to those who might want to get involved in the work they do.
ISP offers hope and healing experiences through overnight retreats, spiritual reflections and one-on-one companionship. Volunteers walk with people in recovery while sharing their own experiences of hope and healing. ISP is looking particularly for men who are interested in helping to restart their men’s program in the Metro Detroit area as a volunteer team member or supporter. No experience in drug or alcohol recovery or Ignatian spirituality is required, though it would be helpful.
Please come and see how you can put your faith into action by serving God and the men and women of Ignatian Spirituality Project. Please RSVP by March 16 to Allison Loecke, ISP Regional Director, via phone at 312.226.9184 Ext. 109 or email her here.

Domingo de oración contemplativa guiada
|
