Save the Date for Special Meeting

Moderator Rosalind Banbury has called a special meeting of Presbytery of the James to elect a temporary stated clerk. This meeting will occur via Zoom on August 29 at 7:00 p.m. Registration for the meeting will open on or about August 16. Your participation ensures we will have the necessary quorum to accomplish the meeting's objective.

Our current stated clerk, Steve Hicks, resigned because the duties of his full-time work have become more demanding. The Rev. Charles Grant is able and willing to become the temporary clerk.

Are Your Officers Registered for Equipping the Saints?

Your deacons, elders, and educators won't want to miss the informative event coming on September 16. At Equipping the Saints, church leaders will receive valuable officer training from Rev. Dr. Flo Barbee-Watkins. In the afternoon, participants will separate into sessions based on the roles they serve in their congregations.

Registration closes September 6. We appreciate Culpeper Church's generosity in hosting this event for the presbytery.
