The Church has Left the Building

This coming Sunday we can all go to church . We are hosting a bloodmobile in the church parking lot from 10:00am - 4:00pm on Sunday, March 29 . There are still a few slots left so click here to sign up . In order to be mindful of everyone's safety, when you arrive please remain in your car and you will be called on your cell phone when they are ready for you. There will be a few chairs spread apart as needed for waiting. These will be sanitized after every use. Health screens (temperature screening and wellness check) will be done outside the unit prior to donors entering by trained Blood Connection personnel.

At the same time as the bloodmobile, we invite you to drive through the back parking lot and drop of as many non-perishable food items as you feel led. No personal contact will be made. There is a desperate need for both food and blood in our area and this is our time to join forces to live out what LOVE DOES! I am signed up to donate blood at 10:30am but the rest of the time I hope to be present just to see you and wave hello as you donate from the safety of your car.
The Story of the Wake Forest Prayer Garden: Annette Byrne, Leeann Tedder and Maegan Spontak

This prayer garden was started because of a girls trip to Blowing Rock, NC where there was a prayer tree that was filled with prayers from people that passed by. It was so encouraging and uplifting that when we came back to Wake Forest, we moved forward with the idea that we wanted to start one for the town of Wake Forest. After approval from the church and the town of Wake Forest, the prayer garden was started.

The pergola and the walkway were able to be constructed in one Saturday with the help of five people, and the benches for the prayer garden are being built from a cedar tree that was taken down from the Tedder property. After a post to social media about what this pergola was, there was someone who reached out that said they would like to purchase some plants for the garden! We love how it has already started to impact people!

There is so much love that has gone into just the thought of this garden, and to have it finally come to fruition is an absolute joy to see. While it may take time for the climbing vines to overtake the pergola where the prayers will be hung from, we can still use this place to reflect, pray and love one another. Our goal is for this to be used by the entire Wake Forest Community of all backgrounds, and we want to pray over the prayers, thoughts or wishes weekly as we know how very powerful prayer can be.

The prayer garden is located in the front yard of the church office.
