Montreat has many times been described as a "thin place"- a place where you can glimpse the divine. At the annual youth conferences, Montreat provides the opportunity for authenticity, community, connection, and God’s truth to thrive. Youth come to know and believe they are God’s beloved. It has been a long-standing tradition for Savannah Presbytery to send a delegation to the Montreat Youth Conference each summer to experience the greater connected church and this transformative place.

The expense to house and to transport the youth to Montreat is ever rising. The Council approved an annual Special Offering to be collected to offset those costs so more youth can afford to attend. Individuals and congregations can make a difference in the faith journey of our young people.
