Hurricane Beryl Update

Sunday, July 14th Services

Grace Episcopal Church will gather for worship at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. this Sunday, July 14 as usual. However, depending on the restoration of power, the location of the services is yet to be determined. The important thing is that we will gather for worship, fellowship, and mutual support.

At present we are planning on gathering in Jinkins Hall (has power) for services. If the power is restored to the church building we will have services in the sanctuary.

There will be no Adult or Children's Christian Education

Grace Church vs Hurricane Beryl

Grace did have some damage from Beryl. We had a few roof leaks in the sanctuary and one in Quinn hall. There are some shingles scattered around the property, the fence at the rear of the church by the garden is down and some of the downspouts blew down. The rectory had a couple of water leaks. It appears that Jinkins Hall and The Silk Purse had no damage. A contractor has already looked at the rectory and a roofer is coming today to look at the church.

Power has been restored to the Rectory and Jinkins Hall. The church and Quinn Hall are still without power.

The office remains closed until the power is restored to the church.

Fence down in the back of the church.

Some shingles on the front porch of Jinkins Hall

Quinn Hall ceiling damage.

Water puddle in the church.

Its hard to see in the photo.

The Silk Purse will not be open this Saturday - Planning to reopen on Tuesday
