24/25 SPA Calendar Draft (*Pending Approval)

March 21, 2024

Famed author F. Scott Fitzgerald notably said, “Never confuse a single defeat with a final defeat.” Our students at Scottsdale Prep are high performers, are highly motivated, and sometimes extremely hard on themselves. It is unfortunate, but true, that sometimes our students become downtrodden as our school year enters the final weeks if their quarter three report card did not appear as expected.

Tomorrow, when the portal opens and you sit down to discuss your child’s performance with them, I implore you to hearken back to Fitzgerald’s wise words and encourage your students to keep their nose to the grindstone. For, they still have nine weeks to work towards their goals for this school year, not to mention a lifetime to learn and appreciate the value of hard work. At Scottsdale Prep we treat our time in the classroom as a precious commodity, as well as the education we impart upon our students. In this last quarter, while some schools may begin planning end of year parties, our students will still be in the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. We encourage our students to continue their valiant efforts with vim and vigor—and never confuse a small setback with a debilitating defeat.

Have a great quarter and Go Spartans!

24/25 Re-Enrollment: Due Date is Tomorrow!

It’s time to re-enroll for the 24/25 school year!

Please be sure to verify or update your current address and upload your proof of residency when completing your enrollment in the enrollment portal. You will receive a confirmation email once your re-enrollment for the 24/25 has been electronically submitted and all documentation has been uploaded and verified.

Need to Pick Your Student Up Early?

When students are in Lunch or Lyceum it is VERY difficult to find them amongst the masses. Please coordinate with your student ahead of time and have them wait for you behind the lobby doors. Otherwise, you may have to wait for your student to get to their next class before we can reach them to call them out, which may be awhile.

Health and Safety

Beat the Heat!

The weather is starting to warm up again. Please make sure your student has a water bottle every day. The health office is unable to provide water bottles to students. A common reason of student headaches is not drinking enough water. If your student has misplaced theirs, encourage them to keep checking lost and found. There are also multiple drinking fountains throughout the campus.

Help Support Spartan Athletics & Extracurriculars and Make Your Tax Credit Today!

Did you know that tax credit contributions support the extracurricular activities, like the Spartan Riders, at SPA? It costs you nothing to contribute as you receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on your AZ state tax liability. The maximum contribution for joint filers is $400 per calendar year and $200 for single filers in a calendar year.

We are 42% to our goal of $204,000.

The deadline to contribute for tax year 2023 is April 15th, 2024.
