It's time to give thanks to those wonderful women we call MOMS!
There may not be precise words to express the deepest feelings you have for these amazing beings. But you can convey your sentiments through the act of creating a little something of your own that will remind her how special you really think she is.
The best kind of moms, thank goodness, are the ones that already know how much you love them and are excited by even the sound of your voice. Even more reason to surprise them with something totally unique and unexpected.

Make your mom the perfect mother's day gift - a delicious and beautiful batch of decorated cookies. Learn how to decorate the perfect sugar cookie using simple techniques and designs. This class will leave you with a beautiful arrangement of cookies that will be too pretty to eat (but too delicious not to)! These cookies will be guaranteed to put a smile on the face of the special Mom in your life.
Kristen's Kookies is a cookie and dessert company run by Kristen Renzulli. After landing a finance job, straight out of college, Kristen soon realized that she needed an outlet for her creativity and love of baking. Kristen started baking nonstop in her spare time - giving out desserts to family and friends. By way of word of mouth, Kristen started receiving requests to make cookies and desserts for parties, showers and gifts. Soon enough, Kristen decided to set aside her finance career and pursue her passion - Kristen's Kookies business was born. Kristen's Kookies is now an online cookie website, which specializes in customized and hand decorated cookies and desserts. Kristen's Kookies uses the highest quality ingredients and are guaranteed to put a smile on anyone's face.
Cost is $35 per person (including materials).

MOTHERS DAY PAPER CRAFTS
w/ Esther K. Smith
3:00-5:00pm Based on Esther's Book, Magic Books & Paper Toys. Make your mom a one-size-fits-all accordion paper flower crown, that can fit in an envelope of your own design for E-Z delivery, and make some other accordion cards and paper flowers too. Embellish and decorate with collage, drawings, words. (These projects can also work for birthday cards.)
Basic materials provided--but feel free to bring your own stickers, markers, glitter pens, collage materials, ribbons, scissors, bone folder,etc.
$20 per person - $30 parent + child

 MAKE A MOTHERS DAY BOOKLET 3:00-5:00pm
A card is never enough to tell your mom or grandmother how special she really is and how thankful for her you are! Learn simple book-binding techniques to create a sweet little book, with paper, fabric, stamps, collage and more - filled with photos, drawn pictures and words of love and thanks to express how much you appreciate the mama in your life. It's a wonderful accompaniment to her favorite box of tea, spa gift certificate, or other gift you wish to give. It's even a great gift on it's own from the kids. And if mom is already off enjoying the day alone, it's a great way for dad and the kids to let her know that you were thinking about her on her special day.
Cost is $15 (including materials).

INTRO TO SCREENPRINTING
w/ Sara Gates from Kingsland Printing
2:00-5:00pm
In this 3 hour intensive you will learn all the steps involved in the process of screen prinitng, from making screens to printing images on a variety of surfaces. We will go over different methods of creating a screen, focusing on low tech ways you can do at home. You will leave with your own screen and squeegee and the knowledge to print for yourself. All supplies will be provided, but come to class with an idea of an image you would like to print. A sketch or computer print out would be helpful, but not necessary. I will provide different papers and fabrics, but if you have something specific you want to print on, please bring it to class. Cost is $135 per person (including materials).
