Ahoy wine aficionados! In conjunction with Kemah Boardwalk's Wine Fest, South Coast Sailing Adventures will be having our own Sail & Sip event! Share a Galveston Bay Day Sail with other club members and friends; then return to the patio for a wine tasting. "Chef John" will be grilling beef tenderloins! Please bring your favorite side dish, appetizer, or dessert. All homemade creations will be entered into the "Culinary Delight Contest" and a prize will be awarded for the tastiest recipe, as judged by everyone. As always, BYOB. If there is a wine you would like to enter into the blind tasting, there will be a vote for favorite wine as well!

Grab your lederhosen and dirndl; then come build your sailing resume by honing your navigation and sail trimming skills while you sail Galveston Bay. This relaxed environment is perfect for all skill levels. Not a sailor? Not a problem! Relax and enjoy the day socializing with other sailors on the water. After the sail, celebrate our version of Oktoberfest with a dinner social on the patio. We will grill brats on the patio and enjoy a beer!
Can't get enough of Oktoberfest? Come join us for the Yachtober Fest at the Galveston Yacht Basin! After an afternoon sail down to Galveston, enjoy the amenities of GYB and the festivities of Yachtober Fest! There will be live music, food, and beer! Sail back the next morning after breakfast. This trip gives you a great opportunity to hone your sailing skills and build your sailing resume while also taking advantage of the 5th Annual Yachtober Fest!
In regards to the December BVI trip, we are still assessing damages from Hurricanes Irma and Maria. We are hopeful that we will go as planned. We will update you once we receive more information.
The Aphrodite 101 by Bianca Yacht of Denmark is a long, narrow racer cruiser. With a sail area to displacement ratio of 22 and a length to beam ratio of over 4 this boat is fast in light air with a self-tending jib! There are six Andersen winches and 10 sheet stoppers. All lines lead to the cockpit to make it easy to sail this boat. The cockpit has teak seats and a footwell with a teak grate at the bottom. The boat is tiller steered.
The forward V-berth is followed by a head compartment with large hatch. The saloon features a drop leaf table and two settee berths. The split galley is next aft with a two burner alcohol stove to port and a single stainless steel sink to starboard along with dry storage areas on both sides. The new twelve volt and 110 volt breaker panels are situated at the companionway and there are also two quarter berths. Very comfortable sitting headroom down below with sleeping space for six.
