Pairings: Born in Piedmont in the last century, it soon spread thanks to the perfect balance between bitter and sweet. Barolo Chinato was and still is enjoyed as an aperitif but has also been used for mild medicinal purposes. It was used to aid in digestion and to reduce fevers! It was often served gently heated with an orange peel. Exceptional with chocolates!
Cocktails: Because of the spice and bitters todays mixologist and cocktail enthusiasts are discovering unique and delicious ways to use Barolo Chinato. Try it in place of vermouth and bitters in a Manhattan or Negroni. (Once opened keep chilled)
